Today we got to try Jicama for snack! It is a root vegetable that comes from Mexico.

We had two very special visitors today in room 212! First we had Dr. Willis back to read to our call to celebrate read across America week! Then we had the Hickory City Manager come to speak with us about the history of Hickory!

Fireman James came to visit us today! He came to test us on our phone number and adress. We need to be studying before our field trip next month (march 26th)! He also talked about burn prevention.

We had a day full of new loves! We got to try kumquats for the first time. Some of us loved them but some of us thought they were too sour!

We also loves doing valentine heart math to sharpen our skills!

With Valentines in just two days our class has decided to start spreading the love! We want to do this by sharing our love for learning. We want to start keeping you updated on what's going on in our classroom through this blog. Keep checking back to see our love grow!
